When the gas attacks.

I was watching this Moto X show on ESPN.. With the bikers racing round race dirt tracks etc etc.. and they had like these huge biker helmets on.. and this biker took out a bottle with a long tube and drank from it.. And it reminded me of the Chemical Defence lessons we took in OCS..

It was hilarious.

chokingThere was this little valve that we could twist and connect our bottles to, and we would bite it and suck.. It was the weirdest lesson we had in OCS by far. Not mentioning going into the gas chamber, and removing the masks, which made most of us scream and tear and run like mad freaks out of the gas chamber...

Thinking back, we did learn shitloads of stuff in OCS, infantry weapons galore, explosives, and all sorts of rubbish..

It was bloody fun then.

On the side note, Jing Yuan's getting commissioned on the 10th of June, he just called me to make sure i wanted to go for his commissioning. I'm so excited! it'll be my third!!! THe first was my own, then the 44th FAOCC's then jing yuans. wow... At least i'll be going as a civillian this time.. no more Number 1. haha..

I tailored my own set of Number ones.. and i think i've worn it.. erm.. 3 times altogether only.. haha..

Ashley just called also. The poor girl is crushed under Karen's leftover CA markings.. yes. i know how it feels. I too had a whole shitload of CA markings left since the prakash character mysteriously disappeared. even worse.. still got 2 sets of work missing. sigh.

So.. i'm going to help her out with hers, or rather, karen's, when i'm done with mine. Which i told her, tommorow after church. I certainly hope session doesn't last too long.

Its saturday evening, and here i am. At home. So sad eh. No money.. cannot go out.

Eschatologist, or Anarchist?

So, eschatological, eschatology is the theory of a theologist who emphasises on the 2nd coming, or the end of times. And thus, Eschatological Prerogative would be giving superiority to the idea of end times. Brilliant. Now Paul is an eschatologist.

The bible is possibly, more difficult to read as compared to Kundera, or Palahnuik, or Ayn Rand, or Murakami. Its written by the most complex personality. Duh?

I am way behind on my marking. I'm left with 6 bloody classes though. 6. not that bad a number i guess. But marking in school is much much more efficient then marking at home.

Accomodation in UK is still a problem, and i'm pretty confused over what and how to choose now. Issues arise from time to time, but i'm pretty sure i'll be able to sort them all out soon.

I went for Melee's grandpa's wake yesterday. It was blardy far. took me an hour to get there by train! Oh well..

It was the first solemn time that i could actually talk to her alone for such a long time. To have a proper conversation. Interesting.

Though, I would like to note that it is my third catholic funeral/wake in 1 month. Its odd how chinese new year and easter season are the seasons of departure.

I wonder if my kitbag is back from taiwan.. hmmm..

Checked out several recipes over the week, and most of the inspiration came from the most fabulous Nigella Lawson.. Thank goodness melchen lent me the book. It is packed with lovely pictures of cakes and deserts tastefully arranged to tantalize every cell in your body. How wicked. I can see a London Cheesecake coming right up.

There is still no income for the month of June. I ought to go look for an alternative job. Perhaps at the coffee bean and tea leaf or something. And mel suggested to teach intensive tuition. While others give sporadic and retarded advice. But my favourite was the one to be an escort to Tai tais dripping with De beers diamond and clinging on to Chloe or Balenciaga bags. wow.. Fantastic idea. I won't need to teach if i actually could find such a job.

Who has fetishes over teachers anyway? dumb.

My first 2 weeks of june (at least the nights) are pretty packed. I guess.

Was supposed to go for this mission talk thing, i thought about it clearly last night, and i decided not to go. Even if, it was classified as a community event. The point is, or rather, the reason i gave was that it was too incovenient to get there, if i didn't have the car. Which I didn't. The rest of them, stay in the serangoon district, and here i am.. living far out in the east district.. with the exception of merril, and cheryl, who live in kaki bukit, and oxley respectively. I find it extremely difficult to coagulate to their idea of commitment when travelling is a bane that they will probably not understand! I certainly hope they do.

I haven't had a proper meal in 24 hours. Why am i not dead yet?

Proof reading Arsenic.

I never proof read what i write.. Which always result in subject verb disagreements, tenses, or even spelling errors. I just type too fast. Heh.

Now that i have to read about 40 scripts a day, I suddenly realise the importance of proof reading your work. Its just too much to bear for the poor teacher to go through all this rubbish, when on the surface, the student appears to be a coherent and linguisitically capable student.

I forgot to find out.. What the bloody hell is Eschatological Prerogative. i think i have the answer on the staff table.. but hell.. i keep forgetting to check it up.

Paul shouldn't use such long and un-hebrew words. It just complicates and confuses the poor Corinth Christians.

THe thought of becoming an air steward popped up again. I think it is a very amusing idea.

I had a few visions of what i could ambition myself to be if i were to run away from home now (Why would i do that?)

I could, be an air steward, earn big money, live near the east (near airport) and travel incessantly for 3 years, save enough money, and pursue geology in my later years.

I could also, join the Jesuits, and become a Brother, as I have no inclination to become a priest whatsoever. And perhaps, prove to the Archidiocese that I am smart enough, and well, at least interested enough to be sent to UK to study Geology. I could after that, sign a contract with National Geographic Channel, to cut a documentary about mountains and landforms for students, or doing mission work as a Jesuit brother in my long flowing Jesuit Habit. We could probably call the programme, Br Jason Walks.

I could also.. just find some menial labor somewhere, save enough money, enrol in NUS next year, earn my emancipation, and half work half study, and join NIE. This is the worst case scenario though. : )
