Its not all about teletubbies.
Remind me. I've got to buy 4D today.. on kelly's suggestion. Heh. And no, i'm not telling you what numbers i'm buying.
I got really pissed last night when my sister, with her barbaric mentality demied me the use of the car. i was bloody close to screaming outright bloody bitch at her. But oh wells. We know whats best for us. Anyway. In another 2 more months, and i won't be seeing her, and she will never ever affect me ever again.
Its odd how my friends around me talk about their sisters/older siblings.
Well, the thing is, i'm one of the few who are accidents, and have a very large age gao with my older siblings.
My eldest sister is 12 years older then me btw. heh.
And the thing is, i am close to my eldest sister, but was never at all on talking terms with my second sister since, i have no idea when.
When i was younger and as early as i can remember, she has always buliled me into submitting to her will, she was in my eyes, barbaric and unreasonable and has always been. Her double standards and false claims to reasoning were warped and abhorent. I've never, in my life, met anyone more self-assuring and lack of love then her. And i'm serious about that.
In her eyes, there is only my brother-in-law. The world ceases to exist after they got together, not my mother, my sister, my father, nor my other family members. We don't exist. We are merely flowers in the window. And worse, plastic flowers at that.
There are so many grudges, and 1 posting definitely won't be enough for me to reiterate them to you.
Our relationship, over the past 20 years of my life, has deteoriated to the point where we just don't talk. I have nothing i want to say to her, and i don't need her to know about my life. She doesn't need to know. I doubt she wants to anyway. I can exist and live very happily in this world without her. She is but merely a person living in the room next to mine. thats all.
I think i did mention to few friends that when i return during the holidays next year, there was a chance that i would not have a place to stay. My house.. as in the one i'm sitting in right now, will be rented out, since everyone will be relocated to UK.. I wondered quietly to myself sometimes, on whether i should come back for holidays or not.. it seemed like a superfluous idea that had no answer.
As much as i want to.. i've got to settle the where the hell am i going to stay problem first.
Before you start asking, "can't you live with your sister and your b-in-law?", i'm going to pre-empt you with, "don't be stupid".
pre-emtive strikes are necessary sometimes.
Its something i deem worth worrying about considering since i love my country very much, and i'd do anything to be back. even if i had no place to live in. I'd just live in hotel 81 along paya lebar. haha.

I wish i could.
I wish i could spew beauty from my mouth,
like a neverending fountain.
I wish i could spell the colors of the winds,
like a magical rainbow wrapping the valleys.
I wish i could sing the sights of the mountains,
like the green gushing birds.
I wish i could dance like the falling leaves in autumn,
like flights of swallows through the misty air.
I only wish i could.

My teaching experience, so far.
Went for the SAC staff symposium today. It was rather refreshing to see, all the other teachers from SAC once more, after nearly a month long hiatus. It was rather pleasant.
We do have some new additions to the school, praise G-d for that. I would think we'd die without them. Latest news from my principal.. I will not be teaching English next term, because, we've a new English English teacher, as in, an Englishman teacher! Thats rather interesting!
Well, thats something to be cheery about!! I was just mulling about how my tuesdays will end at 1415, and my mondays end at 1345, and what not.. And this news, seemed, rather refreshing! The rest of EL department assured me that they would make use of my newfound time and freedom as much as they could. oh how nice. : P
Apparently, there is hearsay that i would be taking up more PE lessons this term, because someones, erm, pregnant.. woohoo... so many preggy people in school! Oh no. more PE = more tired.
So.. yeah.. reshuffling of duties. Again.
I've insofar, taught Geography (albeit for a very short period, but i enjoyed it the most) English (was an utter pain, except to 5-1.. they were great), and PE (ok lah.. its not really tennis and volleyball everyday you know). And it has been a bloody fantastic experience to date. I have been influenced, one way or another, to perhaps take up a career in teaching. Albeit not locally, or in any Secondary schools here or anywhere, but perhaps, i could consider an occupation in the academics, teaching in a university for GeoSciences like Hydogeology, tectonics or something. That would be schweet.
Pedagogies
The syposium was, in summary, very insightful and rabuncously entertaining at times. There was an introduction (well at least for me) to pedagogies, concepts that i've been thinking of and playing around with, but never knew how to root my ideas. And now, at least knowing what pedagogies are and the kinds of different forms of pedagogies, i guess i'm more on track.
What was most fruitful for me from this symposium, was the insight of teaching, the techincal concepts of teaching, and well, the sweets and spices and everything nice that goes into the effort. This aids me alot, as a student-to-be, to know the pedagogies well enough to swing to its pendulum when i identify them in my future lecturer's teaching styles.
It also helps to reconcile what i've learnt from JC and sec school. When we were still schooling, we never really knew where the teacher was coming from, her/his methods, the questions he/she posed, and what not, and now, everything seems clearer, and if i were a JC/sec student, i would probably be a much better one.
The thing is, i doubt if i were a rambling 17 year old, i'd understand or even vaguely grasp the concepts of Socrastic Questioning, or Inquiry Based learning. I would be thinking too highly of myself if i said i would have been interested when i was 17.
I was rather pre-occupied with playing, and having fun i daresay.
Sometimes, being a teacher meant that for a moment there, you actually want your students to be like you. For example, when i taught english, i more often then not, tend to rub my very erractic and eccentric methods and styles of writing onto my students. And i am actually, amused about it.
There is somehow this desire, or rather, comfort in knowing that someone that you have been entrusted with his/her education with would turn out to be somewhat like you, sucessful as the entrustee would see it.
The concept of immortality in education
Its all a concept of immortality and survivability of the human mind. It is the same reason why we want to populate the earth with our genes, and teach our children our very own traits.
The whole idea revolves around our subconscious understanding that we are unable to acheive immortality. We understand the concepts of death as clearly as we understand our birth from conception.
Thus in order to perpetuate our existence, we more often then not impress our idealogies on the young that we encounter from day to day.
This is in the survival belief that if, we could impress at least 1 person in our entire lifetime to think like us, our consciousness, and our ideologies will live on in the human world after we are deceased. It is an endearing concept that is not embraced by many.
In this manner, we could well say that our ancestors have survived through us, with the influence of everything from food, to culture, to even the most basic of our appearances, our hair, or our looks, and we are in a broad sense, the physical apparition of Divine immortality to our ancestors.
We are, the immortals that they sought to become, and similarly, our future generations, if we so impress them to be, are the immortals that we seek to become.
Humans are always seeking perfection since the enlightenment of human kind, which i would mark as the period where intelligence have, lept at least 30 million years ago.
Everywhere, we would see the representation and our ideology of perfection, in the circles we draw, the architectural designs, on the view of our religions. We have always sought this perfection that was always so faraway, and so obscure.
And the truth is, this perfection is within us.

My best, for his glory.
Dear G-d,
Today, I read many verses in my bible as I tried to re-tab the pages, as the tabs were becoming old and floppy.
I read so many awe-inspiring verses from the Holy Scripture you sent us. And many threw me into great turmoil.
Since my Baptism this year, and since my journey to receive you in full communion last year, I have learnt and experienced a great deal. Great doldrums of depression, workaholic syndromes, anti-social ideaologies, and eccentric beahviours. I was desperately finding myself.
But since Christmas last year, you answered my prayers, and let me find the gift that you have given us, Jesus.
I was at last able to see Jesus for who he really was, and how he died for us, and how he was born to die for us made me crumble into despair. But you taught me that, i should rejoice, and rejoice i did.
Then, you wanted me to learn about the Eucharist, and so I drove myself hard to understand it. I went for mass everyday for about a month or so, prayed fastidiously, and discussed actively, and without shame, my lack of fervour for the eucharistic celebration. And one morning while i was attending mass at St Anthony's Chapel, you opened my eyes, and let me see what the eucharist really meant. You made me crave you even more.
As I sat down to reflect my lenten observance, i realised that I was lacking in the observance part, I broke all the observances that i pledge to make. But, I discerned in me, the gift of Love and Patience, you let me learn that these 2 gifts were highly important, with thanks to the intercessions of the Prophet Job, who is my patron saint, St Magdalene of Canossa, and Blessed Mother Theresa. You let me realise that patience and discernment of your will was very important, through the intercessions and the exemplary conduct of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
I cannot thank you enough for these gifts already, and you decide to bestow more upon me.
Then came the camp. Before the camp, i wanted to know so many things, the theological idea behind the Trinity, and how you exist beyond being only the creator, but as a portion and yet a whole in the Trinity. No one could seem to answer my questions.
I sought to experience the Holy Spirit, and the Father himself, especially after you already let me experience Jesus, and the eucharist.
During camp, during the Charismatic PnW cum Prep sess, I was overwhelmed by the presence of the Holy Spirit, I knew it was the spirit who was moving around us, because i suddenly found rest, solace, and beauty in every single thing around me. That was in great and stark contrast to the mood i had before the session. I was feeling angry, sad, dejected, aloof and extremely tired. I was not able to reconcile with alot of things on my mind, and alot of people around me. But after the session, i felt healed, and refreshed, rearing to go. You let me experience, the healing power of the Holy Spirit, thus, the gift of the graces. You let me experience, what was right.
Now, I am only lacking the experience of the Father, before the Triduum or trinity is complete. I don't know how you are going to allow me to experience your love, but i believe that it will be in good time as your will, is mine.
At this juncture in my life, I want to dedicate to you everything that i have. My life, my words, and every action that I do. It may seem like a daunting and nearly impossible task, but it is something i am willing to do to experience the father.
I have come to the realisation that i have reached a new level of understanding with you. I have seen what your will means to me, and what the graces are to me literally, I cannot thank you enough for that.
Many may say that this is only a temporary flame ignited within me because of the camp. I can only reply, that this, has been something that i have always wanted to share and pray tell for a very long time, and i know for certain that this flame will last.
For you have planted within me, the mustardseed, small and strong, to grow always upwards into a tree befitting of your glory.
For you have given me, the knowledge and the ultimate realisation and experience to testify, that you exist, and you are the creator, the Jehovah, the King of all that is Good. And we can only exist to glorify your name.
There is nothing that i can say, or do to thank you enough, but only to do what i mean to by my creation. Which is dedicate every single worth of my laiety life into your hands, and submit myself to your will.
Amen. +

Thank you world. for waking me up.
I am eternally freaking grateful to the whole entire blardy world who called me at like the unearthly hour of 9 am. Oh goodness. What the hell????
We had the ESO from SAC who called to remind me about the staff symposium, and Mdm Chan, my employer, who called again, to emphasise that i had to be there, and some arse, who called the wrong number and some other numbers that i don't recognise. Then we had the messages.. from mel, and from the rest of the world who just could not wait endearingly, or patiently for a stupid reply from His Royal Highness, who was having his almightily important beauty sleep.
And it suddenly dawned upon me that hey. I haven't had a scotts clue of what i'm going to teach Hsiang an today. shucks. i'd better start planning.
On hindsight, i usually plan my days in 3 parts. I guess thats a big waste of time, considering some activities take only like erm, 2 hours, and i usually render the whole other portion of the day (in 6 hour chunks) useless! how bloody brilliant. I guess its a reflection of the level of procrastination within me.
Sigh. suddenly, i just realised that staff symposium starts on thursday, not friday. oh shit. i've got to replan my week. aaargh. oh no. tuition with HA is on thursday. sigh.
Argh. when will i have some time for myself!!!?!??!??!?!
see? one more message coming in.
Well.. at least these phone calls and messages are more welcomed then those i got in the army. I used to not even be able to have my day offs in peace. I'd get phone calls consistently from boss, colleagues, subordinates, higher hqs, sister units, and what not. All in a day. So much so... my handphone bills used to rocket to about 80 a month!!
BTW.. my handphone bills have dropped to about 40 a month now. Tell me that is not a coincidence?????

And it does seem very scary, especially now, when the weather's warmer...
So, it seems, that the date has been decided.. after days and weeks of discussion, discernment, planning, detailed planning, cost calculation, over emails, research, phone calls, asking around, and what not.
So the date's been decided and how shall we have it? Raw? medium? or through?
Medium suits me best.
As i seek to catalog every single item that i want to keep in my room, so many memories, ideals, feelings, flow back into my mind. As if i step again into that day, the time when these things were introduced into my life. My chinese essay book from Sec 3, my primary school bag, my stuffed toys from when i was a wee kid. My very first bible, my first chess set, and so many other priceless antiquities of assortment and sizes.
What to throw, or rather, what to bring?
I've decided on a few basics.. technically, i'm only bringing 1 bible, the one presented by Fr Gerard last year, sunday missal, daily bread, daily readings (a gift from a very very very very good friend from ocs), and the copy of the Divine Office (if melchen allows.. i borrowed it from her), and my journal.
Then there are the clothes, every long sleeved shirt, wearable t-shirt, and pants will go. Next in the line are the bermudas, and boardshorts for summer, and all my sweaters, and my only coat.
Then, i'll have to think about bringing other not so important stuff, like, my chess set, tennis racquet (and shoes) and pictures.
What else?
sigh. must start packing my room. argh. its a great mess.

Look! I'm Blooooooming...
I came to this page, the page where you type your entries, at least 6 times no less, since returning home from camp yesterday.
I slept at 5, and woke up at erm. heh.. 11 today. Was really that tired. argh.
Anyway, i wanted to write something nice about camp.. But somehow... i'm having a mental block.. from all the things that have been happening. I've been living on 7 dollars for the past erm.. 10 days.. and i'm really proud of myself for doing so! well.. ok.. I took a cab to church on friday morning cus i was real tired.. But yeah.. i'm still very proud of myself for doing that! yay.
Anyway. Back to the main topic. Church camp was VERY eventful, spiritually, and non-spiritually. A whole myriad of emotions within 3 days, and i must say, the HS was really with us through the whole camp.
I got to understand what it meant by the work of the Holy Spirit.. The HS no longer remained an elusive and misunderstood emotion. THe graces of patience, love and compassion were revealed, and everything seemed beautiful.. for 3 days.
I feel renewed, and refreshed, with more wisdom to make my decisions, i suddenly, know where to go.
Thank G-d for the Catechists, the helpers, and everyone there.
Praise G-d.
Alleluia.
I love the techno Charismatic group. They made me laugh and cry with their 'tui tui tui' music.. super entertaining, super 1980's style praise and worship.. but seriously.. it proves a point... that the Spirit can be present....... in techno music too.
