Bloodbath in money.

Just got back from JB. Totally poofed.

Spent the day in JB.. shopping.. and eating.. Bought 4 new t shirts! Yay.. nothing else was nice.. so ahbengish. But FOS rocked.. they had Junkfood, Varsity Tees, and Ben Shermans!!! All of which are expensive in singapore! They even had Zoo York! Which i was soo soo tempted to buy.

Taman terbau was great! The food was dirt cheap. We ate until we nearly exploded for SGD 12 bucks. it rocked big time man.

I'll really miss Asia when i'm in Europe. I dunno. I'll miss everything lah. Pictures later tml.. too tired to even lift my hands to get my camera or pack my bag for tommorow's run. argh.

In another 14 days i'll be at the airport.. with my big luggage.. flying off to UK till goodness knows when. Its really difficult.. but i guess i don't have a choice. at least not now.

Work hard! Get scholarship! Have money! Then can come back to singapore next summer!!!!

Oh no! Its stuck in my head.

Things aren't going very well.. but we'll keep on going.

And. the Song. THE Song. My God is an awesome God. Is stuck in my head. its going on loop. scary. scary.

Going out for supper soon. Hmm. JB tommorow. yay.

I like my new passport. Its really nice. and my british visa too. Its really nice too. it cost too much though.

My God is an Awesome God.

I was actually contemplating writing an entry with the Title:" Catholics are born into Suffering. Discuss". Haha.. so GP-like.

But when this morning's hymn rung out.. it made me realise, that my God, was an awesome God, who reigns from Heaven above, with wisdom power and love.

This week has been impossibly hectic, with each day ending no later then 11pm, and programmes, events and activities packed from 7:30 in the morning. I can't deny that I have been extremely tired, and I've really tried my best to maintain my energy.

Most disturbing of all, would have been the news that my mother would have to go through a minor operation this friday, which was rather sudden, and had only stemmed from a mere check at the polyclininc. I felt horribly despaired at everything that moment, and was very close to wondering, why has the Lord suddenly left me.

It seemed as though everything was falling down around me. I was left devoid of my personal time, I didn't have any time to meet anybody for anything, and i haven't even spend much time with my mother, and she has to go for an operation??? And the operation wasn't even the end of everything. There was more to come.

Then there was the creaky floorboards at home that led me to suspect a ghostly apparition has surfaced in my house. After 2 appointments with the estate manager, and the waterproofing specialists, we still could not determine the exact reasoning as to why water was actually seeping up from the floorboards in my sister's room.

Nevertheless, there were moments of great reprieve that reassured me that the Lord will be there for me, and if I surrender my all in all to Him, He will grant me salvation.

For example, I had gone to church really early on Wednesday, because i was supposed to get Daniel to fill in his ahm form. I had only just collected my Visa, tired from a days work, rushed from school to shenton to church, and hadn't showered in i dunno how long.. And i absent-mindedly sipped on packet of lemon tea when I realised, darn, was not supposed to take anything 1 hour before communion time. Argh. So i missed Holy Communion for mass..

After mass, I was wondering where in the world I was going to get dinner from. Cons and Melt didn't want to go down to gardens to have dinner because spiritual prep was starting in 45 mins time.. and the rest were no where in sight.. So i walked down to the parish office, wondering who should i call to help me tah bao dinner.. And suddenly, Fr Ho came out, and asked me if i wanted to have dinner with me. haha..It was really God's providence that this happened.

So I had a very nice home cooked dinner that night, with Fr Gerard, Deacon, and 2 others. It really made my day.

After dinner, I ran into aunty betty, and she chided me for missing her curry last week (i had to go for somebody's wake).. and she said she will specially cook a pot of cury for me before i leave for england!!!!! Oh my goodness, how blessed can I get!! Aunty Betty's chicken curry, as i have declared before, was the best tasting curry I've ever tasted. I really didn't know what to say..

During spiritual preparation.. reflection on God's grace made me only sad.. sad that I have not been able to give my uptmost for His Highest.. But at the same time, I could see that the Lord has given me, the grace that I am unworthy of.

At the same time, i experienced immense joy knowing that my God was going to be with me thorughout all my trials and tribulations, and it was only obvious and has always been evidential that He will provide for me, the gifts and graces that I need amply to survive and come out a stronger person.

Spent some time with the RCIA .. actually more like stealing their food, and playing with Justin, who apparently thinks that I have brown teeth because I eat too much chocolates, and that i am a human tree for him to climb all over.

Eventually, when the humdrum of the day's events settle, I find myself sitting alone, praying, and reflecting, and without a doubt, I still felt worried over all the problems that I have.

Regardless, I find strength in the Lord, and I draw strength from Him, by offering up my all in all, for His greater Good, and the Glory of His name. It still is a pain to sometimes struggle so hard to maintain that smile on the face, and be joyfully thankful for everything that we have in life.

So, as usual, pray and be uplifted. Looking forward to Confirmation Retreat, and Bangkok!

my third last mass in SFX?

I just had my third last mass in SFX.. Didn't realise it until i got home.

Its sad. really sad. I can only wonder how it'd feel like. The last mass before leaving.

All the faces, familliar and warm. People i've spoken to, worked with, did all sorts of rubbish with, shared with, laughed with, cried with. Its amazing how a nuclear society is developed just at the back of the church after mass.

All the lovely people. Whom i'll miss dearly when i'm in the "hopeless" place, as quoted from Fr Ho..

All the teachings, experiences, love, care, and growth that the church has given me.. SFX Rocks my life. haha

I'll miss you, you, you, you, you, and you.. and you too. : (

That mangled feeling in my stomach. Like going round and round the roller coaster. It feels. weird. I'm sorry I ever read that. I'm sorry I even existed. I cannot believe I could cause so much disturbance.

Al said that the mangled feeling was because of zero gravity.. like your innards are floating inside you.. Thats why you feel curdled. So is it right to say that my thoughts are probably floating in mind in an absent minded manner? Somebody erase my memory.

-----

I'm sorry I don't want a big farewell.. Contrary to what I jested about earlier.. About having a big farewell meant that I could 'harvest' more presents (judging from the number of gifts my friends received for their 21sts).. But i was never the sort to have large parties. I like small groupish events. Where its more sincere, more comfortable and well.. amiable.. Then i don't need to worry about forgetting so and so.. or to entertain and talk to so and so.. I just don't like the idea. And worse. Don't ask me to plan for it. I'm a wreck at planning parties for myself. I just hate it. I don't deserve one. Save the money. Go K box. Drinking. Whatever. I'd like to go quietly. Like how i've always liked it.
