Erm. Alright then.

Teacher's day was great. Just before I forget how it felt..

The day was relatively packed. I didn't have a moment to spare.. But watching the children perform (yes. children) made me think.. hmm.. they must really appreciate us teachers for them to put in so much time and effort for this whole shenanigan! haha

Received lots of presents from the girls, chocolates, biscuits, cookies, the whole likes.. but i really enjoyed.. erm.. Alaine's potato salad.. maybe because i was totally dying of STARVATION when i arrived in school. AND. OF COURSE. MY FAVOURITE MOST INSANE FLOORBALL TEAM WHO GAVE ME A BEAUTIFUL NIKE SPORTS TOWEL AND A LOUSY CERTIFICATE. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LEVI'S WATCH??? HUH? HUH??? happy now? And not forgetting my 'children' silly message that my mom freaked when she read it. Father!? Father!??? Me??? A priest??? The Catholic Church will collapse!

Will be going for confirmation camp tommorow. excited at what the Lord has up His sleeves for the confirmants! pray that He touches them!

My secret affair.

Which stemmed out of last night's Bible sharing.

I once had the idea of renaming my blog to The Secret Affair. Not a secret affair as in like with a married woman or anything, but my own life-long experience with G-d, which is to me, like a love affair, and most of the time, it isn't even the contextual love that we seek to describe by the 2 words 'love affair', but something so incomprehensible, i don't think Love can aptly capture the experience.

Why Secret? Because He is invisible, and yet omnipotent, and at the same time, mysterious. As i have my daily conversations, it seems almost like a secretive action, a mumble, a prayer, a silent action, that no one else sees or feels. Therefore secret.

It is my 2nd last day here in SAC (yes. i'm at work. blogging. haha). It is times like this, when the pivot of change starts creaking that you start to feel, a sense of curdling loss in your stomach, wondering if you did your very best, and if you had formed to the best of your desires, the image of a christian youth. I hope i did.

It has been a fantastic experience, I will miss dearly, my colleagues, and also.. my boisterous students who alternate between making me angry and at the same time, making me guffaw hystericaly with their ridiculously insane antics. This is one of those periods where i will hold dear and cherish, and praise G-d for the abundance in blessings that He has bestowed.
At the same time, this feeling of reminiscent longing is overshadowed by worry, and perhaps, a little disappointment. My mum's test results were not complete.. so we can't really find out exactly whats wrong. And hanging in the mid air, this unnerving anxiety, atop of all the other issues i have about leaving for UK soon, is enough to make my blood curdle, and my brain mangled.

I only lament at my apparent unfillial actions.

I haven't been able to spend much waking hours at home. Instead, I have been spending most of my nights at church, while in the afternoons I am busying myself with my own packing, and at the same time, renovations on my room. It worries me, the amount of time that i am spending with my family, for whom i will not see for the next few months. It saddens me to think about being in a new environment with no one or no where to go.

My aunt, related by blood, recently passed away when she fell in her bathroom. T'was rather sudden, and at least, relatively painless.

It only reflected the mortality and fragility of the human life. Such a simple act, bathing, suddenly, she falls, and she is gone. I was never really close to her, but by the virtue of being related through marriage and having seen her countless of times prior puts me in the position of being compassionately sad. Especially when she had died in such a sudden way, that not only so simply reflected our own fragility, but HIGHLIGHTED it.

That is the reason why we are called to, well, trust in the Lord, in all that we do.. Worrying, and feeling sad, excessively, and irrationally only allows other negative thoughts into our minds. Let our lives be fruitful by commiting all that we have unto Him.

"Be thou my vision,
Oh Lord of my heart.
Naught be all else to me,
save that thou art.
Thou my best thought,
by day or by night.
Waking and sleeping,
Thy presence,
Thy light."
