Yanping has a new English name.

We decided that Yan ping who is a long time college friend should have a whimsical english name, like all other mainland chinese and her hong kong flatmates who have names like Shadow, Winky, and Dipsy.

Therefore, to help her assimilate into the local culture, we have decided to christen Kong Yanping, therefore now henceforth known as,

TITTY KONG

And so my fortunes might have faded.

I found a job in Costas, serving coffee, about 40 mins away in Trafford Centre.

Its weird how I live in the city centre, and yet can't find a job in the City centre, and end up working in the suburban areas... really weird.

But oh well.

I am really apprehensive about the job because I have no idea if I can cope with the hours, the pressure of school work + work, and everything else. I still want to be involved with Church and serve masses and benediction, and I want to join Speology still, and go out and have a social life.

But the needs of my immediate material supplication are more important than that. I need the money to assure my own self that I am still an able human being in my own right, able to provide for myself.

It may sound egoistical, but, after being financially independent for 3 years, it is VERY difficult to return to depending on my mother for money. It takes alot of getting used to, to use money that I know did not come from my own sweat.

So dear friends, please pray for me, that this job is what the Lord has in mind for me, and it be His will, I be pleasantly happy and self sufficient.

I really want to go camping and climbing and hiking and stuff too.. : (

-----

We discussed about so many wonderful things today in sharing and in the talk Father gave about the Mass, it is just so amazing and wonderful, our Church.. I wish I could bring it back to share it with everybody how the Roman Catholic Church transformed my life.

God truly truly is Life, and He truly provides.

He is just SO amazing.

Mother of my God Son, I miss you too!!!

Can i name him? Baptism name lah?

THEY did naughty things today.

The guys threw a big bag of water from our kitchen window. The boom from the resulting impact was amazing. Awesome!

It wasn't so awesome when the Hall staff suspected it was us.

I got abit annoyed at the dirty dishes in the sink thats been left there since the dinosaurs died(so is the very nice cleaning lady). Everyone seems to think that I am the clean freak. Excuse me? I always thought it was erm. someone else (glances next door).

Natwest sends me an array of cards, I've got 2 types of Debit Cards, and a Mastercard Credit card. Makes up for my POSB mastercard and UOB Visa and Mini. : ( Still peeved i had to close the UOB account. heh.

I don't know why they just keep sending me cards, and apparently they're going to send me another 2 atm cards.. I have no idea why. They're really confusing me. As long as i dun have to pay for any of them.. i'm ok with anything. heh.

I actually did a total of 3 hours of labwork today. Managed to hone the skill of identifying the damned mini itsy minerals on a rock without a microscope. I hope we won't be tested on this. It hurts my eyes. And goodness.. THE BLOODY ROCKS LOOK ALL THE SAME after a while.

I won't be going anywhere this weekend (boooring). But hopefully we can go camping next week.. if the weather holds out.

Crap. so many things to do tommorow, and you've got to walk from pt A to pt B. sigh.

Who is He?

My Jesus is the Jesus whose love is of infinite goodness and He died to save my soul from damnation. There is none like Him.

And the Victory that day was turned into great mourning for all people.

Its Rememberence Sunday today, and I was in Liverpool.

Went for mass at Liverpool Metropolitan cathedral.. Its really really beautiful, and mass was just, Stunning, Amazing..

It was just 2 hours of doing nothing but worshiping and praying. It was such a good refresher to my dry prayer life.

Too bad I don't have pictures cus.. erm.. i forgot to bring my SD card. Haha.. But there will be another trip definitely. Its only 5 quids return, and I met Mark there. haha.

Today, we remember all the war veterans who sacrificed their youth, and their life for the liberties of the Nations and innocents.

This we remember, is the Great War, and I don't think that there is another war in this world, and in this century or the previous century that could be as justifiable, important, and truely liberating as World War II.

Countless of men have sacrificed their lives just so that today, we can live on, and today, we can enjoy modernity and peace.

It is not about glorifying war, but this war, was special. It was for the countless of our Jewish brothers who were persecuted. It was for the countless of our Chinese comrades who were bruttally murdered and plundered. It was for the freedom and happiness of the peoples of the Nations who were oppressed by the evil alliance.

Today, we remember this war, this special war, that granted us the freedom that we have till now.

I cannot say so much for the Iraq war though. It is just so sad, that young men, younger then me, have to be sent so far away, to fight a war that was uncalled for. To fight an unjustified war, and to sacrifice their lives, just because they are loyal enough to the spangled stars and stripes to say yes to the leader that demands of them. Today, we ought to remember them too. For their loyalty to their leaders, for the affirmation that the same young men and women, will give up their lives for the safety of their country. But today, we also ought to remember this same senseless loss of lives, and the senseless leadership that promulgates this war started by satan himself.

Today, we talked about Community in the Catholic church.

We are all called to lead a life of community within the catholic church when we are baptised. That this community is the calling our lives to serve and be a part of.

This made me understand so much more the value of the family that God has given me. My primary family, and my secondary family, which is my church.

Now that He calls me to this community of students within the university, I can only humbly obey and follow the path, my master trod.

Its the same in Singapore. We may just attend mass every sunday, and once in a while think about God. But that isn't exactly what God expects of us. He wants us to lead a community life, where we are one in worship, one in heart. We may be different in every aspect, but we build on the similarities that we have, and not the differences.

No matter how dry community life may be, we still perservere, because we were once called to be part of this community, and this IS our calling. this IS our community, until we are called to greener pastures.

Was the thurifer for mass today. my clothes smell of incense now. heh.
