Korean drama rocks. Spent a good time watching Dae Chang Geum and Hwang Jin i, and trying to look for Myeong Seoung. Sigh. They all look so damn tantalising-ly good in hanboks. I want a korean wife. now.
Been a busy week. 3 papers, countless hours of last minute reading.
Picked Andrea up from her airport last night and helped her settle in. Met loads of people I haven't seen in years. Naomie. who's going back to France tommorow, etc.
Had dinner with Singaporeans.. and smoked sheesha.. its all good. : P
Hopefully the exams went well.. Nakered..

Lesson learnt
Every month, when it comes to bill paying time.. I always learn a new lesson. Last month, in my first bill paying month, I learnt that Natwest is a stupid fuck of an inefficient branch. And that they gave me 2 accounts, to my embarassment, I didn't know.
Then the 2nd month, I learnt that I had to transfer money from one account to the other to pay my bills. It was freaking dumb.
In the third month, i learnt that if i forget to transfer the money, natwest will eat 38 pounds off my account for a failed direct debit, when a very giganticus sum of money is sitting in the other account that I don't use at all.
In my 4th month, i learnt that they just deduct interest from my credit card, just because I use it. Even if I pay on time. Its fucking useless. And today, I learnt that I must not trust my school on when they tell me to pay my bills, because I will end up hoarding cash, or having deficits in either accounts without knowing it.
Natwest, must be the most inefficient and useless bank in the world. I can't even reset the pin to my credit card. It is so embarassing to be seen using Natwest. I feel so low class and chaavy to be associated with such a dumbass of an organisation. This is, British banking at its lowest.
I always thought that Britain had the finest banks in the world, and they protected your interests and your money.. Seems that that moniker has been transfered 13,000 miles across the world to Singapore, where I don't pay interest on my cards if i pay my bills on time, and a failed debit transaction only ends up with a failed transaction and nothing more.
Banking in Britain, is nothing short of disappointing.

Nice and not nice, devasting and less devastating.
The palaeontolgy paper today was no less devastating. Devastating not because it was difficult. It was pretty easy actually. But devastating because it was almost EXACTLY the same as last year's. Which meant that I did not go with my gut to thoroughly prepare for the paper. Which I will now do for Earth Materials.
Now I can't get an A for Palaeo. Sigh.
What else is devastating? That i spent a good 2 -3 hours sleeping this afternoon because I couldn't sleep last night. Why couldn't I sleep last night? I have no idea. I just couldn't.
What other devastating news are there? That I have to go back to work next monday. That is pretty depressing. 15 hours a week is quite little compared to what other people here do, but as a student struggling to find my intellectual nook, serving coffees everyday is seriously not my cup of tea.
Moreover, Lucy gets 90 quids for 15 hours of work, and I get a mere 79. haha. not fair. Oh well. Her job is more restrictive I guess. Can't call in sick, can't cancel, and not very flexible. They didn't let her take a long break for christmas I think.
Other devastating news? As I called in my workplace this evening to check my schedule next week, I just felt devastated that there are people who aren't very nice roaming this world.
After being in the Army, and living for 21 years on this planet, I can safely say nothing is more devastating then to go to work to just one colleague, who isn't as nice as the others. Or who just doesn't cut the 'nice' ratings. I don't want to go into the details cus that would be bitching, and that isn't very nice of me too.
I thought about it as I walked from my flat to my usual studying haunt, and oh well, I figured that everything just is.. Each to his/her own. You can't fine people for not being nice right?
I also thought if it was hypocritical to be all nice and smiley even if you didn't like the person. I personally feel that it isn't because I really do try to make an effort even though my human perceptions swear that XX maybe a bamboozling arse. Optimistically, its better to create a positive atmosphere rather then a negative one.
Everyone's talking about apartments houses and flat now. It feels strange because, it seems as though it was yesterday that I moved into my hall.. and so soon we've got to make a decision on next year's accom?? shucks. I am torn.. very torn. I've already rejected 2 offers to live in a flat because they didn't meet my stringent budget.
I might well end up in a hall next year! Oh no... messy kitchens, noisy corridoors all over again? I don't know if i can handle it anymore then i can this year!! : (
I guess I just have to look at my priorities once again, and assess what I can afford, what I want, and what exactly I want to do with my 2.5 years left here.
Now I can't get an A for Palaeo. Sigh.

Ktchen Disaster: Averted.
I wanted to get to the library by 12 so that I can study till church time. And Paul duly announced that the freezer door was left open last night, and everything was going. going. gone.
Damn. So i had to think off the top of my head all the recipes I have to cook a whole bloody packet of frozen chicken! Shit man. At last, the disaster is averted, and life is back to normal.
On other news. I found nice nooks and crannies within the campus which are extremely conducive for studying. Abit late huh? Better late then never. : P
Its strange how ALL the Singaporeans are erm. 'missing' during the exam period.. and all the brits are constantly going out. partying. taking it slow.. strange. I am guilty as charged for going into seclusion during the exams too... Typical singaporean attitude. : P
I scare myself sometimes.
