NOOO!!

When my friend James said that he wanted to join the TA (Territorial army) as a Non-commissioned Officer... My face wrought into a great big mess with a loud roar NOOOO!!!!

In my entire 2.5 years in that shithole of a career, I've only seen 2 good NCOs.. PS Jamal, and my AWSM in OCS. The rest? were CRAP. Ok.. and maybe my QM in OCS too. They were just very sad bitchy old men. ok ok... Sgt Theng was pretty cool too.. ok ok ok... so were the specialists under me.. other then 1 or 2 super lazy ones.

Call me brainwashed.. but yes, I believe that the Officer Corp is duh best.

I made my closest friends while training to be an officer... met lots of wonderful and horrible people at the same time.. met my buddy Greg who is really great.. until he decides not to clean the room... and of course.. people like RAYMOND TAN who turned my world upside down with his insanity.. and very good friends who have been real pillars in my life like Danson and Tingyi..

I mean.. where else can u get a free sword!?? and it has your name on it too!

Been really really really busy in the past 2 weeks or so.. lots of school.. lots of work.. lots of going out... lots of everything. In fact.. might be a little too much. heh.

Lots of trips coming up.. cumulating to Finland in end march, and field trip to devon in April.. exams.. then long holidays. Which i might spend working in Southwest England collecting rock samples. Yes. Rock samples. I'll throw rocks at you if you laugh.

My eczema acted up again last week. so annoying.

It didn't snow. : (

Time flies really fast huh. b4 i know it.. i'll be 60 and retiring.

FINLAND FINLAND FINLAND!

Its always not really what we're looking for.

The weather's being eratic again. The fog was so thick yesterday, I couldn't even see Sackville building from my room! And I live only a street away.

We mused that the air smelled nice. Like on the plane.. or a hotel. There was a subtle tinge of pine, and fresh-ness to it. But hell was it freezing cold. So we stood there on the street, sniffing cold foggy air like Heroin Addicts.

I have a prediliction for roasted/grilled food. Which is the reason why I am craving Bulgogi right about... now. We had Nandos yesterday, after a long long time. And it was delicious. As usual.

I couldn't help but muse to myself that a bloody meal in Nandos costs 10 quids, and that would mean 30 bucks in Singapore, and with that money, I could've gone to Le Petit Salut to have a fine french lunch on a Saturday. Sigh. The perils of studying in England.

I thought about time and being (old) of a particular age, I feel a great desire to spend time with fruition.. and not just sit around (like now) and do nothing (for the whole damn day till church).

There must be something I like to do here! : P

I watched some kids last night, getting drunk, and thrashing up the Archimedes statue by my hall, and it was a sad desolate sight. Youths of the nation, getting drunk, and smashing up public property, and no one to stop them.

I was very frank with Adam, I told him exactly what I felt about Brits drinking, on a personal level, I detested it, and I thought it uncouth, and uncivilised.. yet, on hindsight, I respect it as their own decision to thrash their lives, and put others in danger. Its fine by me. Its not my community or society anyway.

Its like having issues with being 'mainstream' which is just to waste your life away on drinks and gambling while you're under 20. I simply cannot see the inner joy in it. I detest it so much people think I'm strange. Weird huh.

I probably never was mainstream, and I probably never was on a stream anyway. The first Singaporean to do Geology in Manchester? You got to be kidding me. I was probably walking when everyone else is in the stream.
