I haven't got the caving pictures from my friend's camera yet. They're coming. They're coming. And they're gonna be very nice.
Haven't updated in a while..

I went to James' place again last wednesday, and its just amazing. I love every single bit of that town/borough/parish/whatever-u-call-it. Its just amazing. Its the perfect place to retire.
Thats Bowden parish church, where he was christened. How cool is that.
Well, I could produce a picture of the church I was baptised in too.. But its no where near that nice. : (
How the hell can I aptly describe Bowden so that you boring plaid Singaporeans who live in tall high rise buildings can understand the kind of rejuvenation and strange elation when greeted with such ostentatious living spaces?
All I can say is remember all the old Brit comedies that we see on teevee? Allo Allo, Under the stairs, Gosford Park, and yes, Pride and Predjudice (no its not a comedy you muppet!). Just imagine all that bloody space, all that bloody greenery, and all the fresh air you can get into your sodding soot filled lungs.
Birds chirping, kids running about, old stick laden grans and gramps strolling about an idyllic relaxing town centre thats no more then overall width of maybe marine parade central. Its
amazing.
Thats James' house, there were plentiful of beautiful Victorian, Edwardian, late-Georgian cottages, and even Tudor styled houses.. But nothing is more distinct than the first ever solid British family home that you step into. Its probably an experience of a life time. The strange concept of living, on the ground.
All my life I've lived 13 storeys above sea level, in a nice big apartment overlooking the sea, high above without greenery. With the comfort of my own pool, tennis courts, and gym just right below me shared with my neighbours, and suddenly, there is this concept of, what? Living on the ground!? this is insane. A Garden? You must be kidding me!
Don't get me wrong, I have loads of friends in Singapore who live in Bungalows/Terrace houses, but its whole damn different ball game here. You know it. Driving down Bowden is like driving down Wisteria Lane, like a bloody dream. The whole concept of GATELESS living, SPACE, and your own bloody garage not only escapes us skyscraper townies, but it captures every tinge of our imagination.
Its like liberation!
Another concept in Bowden fascinates me too. The whole community thing going on with the various sports clubs. Its just fascinating, Its like Community Centres in Singapore, only better.
Its like Mustardseed community, just that instead of doing ministry (and the occasional, Tennis ;P) they do sports! Which is a great and wonderful way to build the community in an adhesively positive manner. Looking at his devotion to his club makes me miss MSC so damn bloody much.

Its just amazing how we when we come down from our little pedastals in the university and roam around and see such amazing differences and experience that great thing we don't have and so sorely lack in Singapore, space.
That one ingredient that fertilizes imaginations, and brings about a wrought of emotions that rejuvenates your mind, body and spirit.
And at last, after 6 months, I drove a car. And i was HORRIBLE at it. Oh gosh. I've forgotten how to drive. : (
