Where eloquence slips out, in timeless space words flee. I can't think naught to write, but only words to please. I have no idea why, my words form codes as these, too much of shakespeare's words, can trick your mind to bits.
Iambic pentameter rocks.
not as much as rocks though. Cus otherwise i'd be doing literature init?
oh god i'm so bloody bored.

what to do?
In the midst of looking for a vacation job (i've sent out 10 cvs.. and well.. only 1 responded positively).. i can only find trepidation.
So now I've been given an interview, in Birmingham. Sounds ridiculous? no this is the norm in this country.
Birmingham, is a good 3 hour train ride away from Plymouth, where I'm living for summer. THe interview date is a week from now, and obviously, the train tickets, are comparatively exorbitant.
For the cost of the tickets there an back.. I dunno.
My sister says that apparently they'll pay for my return journey.. thats what some friends said too.. But its all strange to me coming from a country where the furthest distance is about an hour's train ride, and no more then 60pence for me. : /
Being here for 9 months and almost fully assimilated into whatever social fabric there is, I still find it a strange and distant thought to take a train to Brimingham, just for a 3 hour interview. The journey is going to be longer then the process itself. Mint.
Pray for me. I really need your intercessions at this moment, when all my job applications seem as futile as throwing an egg against a stone cold wall.
Life has always been busy and active.. and the sudden melt-down to me, is rather repulsive.

I did a wot wot?
(boring geology related post)
I went into University of Plymouth today. They had an open house for prospective students, and I decided to go take a look at the behest of my sister.. Just for the fun of it, and I didn't have anything to do anyway.
To be honest, the old ugly buildings surrounded by construction sites were very misleading. The labs inside were, nothing short of amazing. We (the geology students in Uni Mancr) use single scope Meiji microscopes, and they (the geology students in Uni Ply) use those double eyed thingies they use in CSI. How freaking mint is that?
The labs were all sparkly and new, and they had shiney new equipment. To top it all off, it had those screen thingies that faced you, instead of you facing the screen causing so much effort to turn your head here and there to compare your thin section with the one your lecturer is showing..
And then came the talk. I know I know.... we (Geology students nationwide) get to go on millions of fieldtrips throughout our degree programme, but. BUT. The uni ply geol students, get to go on like GAZILLION COOL fieldtrips. Cyprus, Spain, Los Fucking Angeles, Ireland. And thats ontop the standard Yr 1, 2 and 3 fieldtrips.
Heres the best part, I was offered the option of doing an underground cave survey instead of a normal individual mapping project in Yr 2, if I did switch of course.
And guess what? The fees? are a good 2.5K pounds lesser then Manchester, before the staff discount. And I would live so called, "at home". The savings are massive, the department is obviously extremely well equipped, teaching is excellant with 4, bloody effing 4 CETLs (Centre of Excellant Teaching and Learning.. or something to that effect, apparently only 2 uni departments in the country has this accolade).
WELL, its not as if I didn't spend alot of time in the begginning of this year clobbering myself over why in the effing world I chose Manchester..
So what am I saying? Am I transferring?
I have abit too much in Manchester though, my job (though i can always get another here), Caving with people I know so well already, caving, already paying the deposit for the house, a city that I grew to love, The North West with all its countryside glory, Giles Droop (i swear he's a god), curry mile.. etc... etc..
So I don't know. I would have to have the decision made in a few days time, I don't know if i even can muster the effort to even mull about it. It seems so surreal. Almost like when I put my pen down to the UCAS form to seal the deal. Just that I haven't even agreed.
I dunno I dunno... it all seems so tempting.. the degree programme.. its sooo goood.

Fear? maybe..
I stood atop a 20m hole in the ground while attaching myself to a rope.
Fear? I dunno... maybe. Haven't had that feeling in a long long time.
I should probably take a break from dropping down dubious dark wet holes just to look at rocks.
